An excerpt -
Last weekend, my 2 kids, aged 10 and 6, decided that we ought to bake some chocolate chip cookies. Now, I am no expert at baking. I have used my oven mainly to store my oversized cooking vessels rather than actually baking anything in it.

Citation Style Language

Citation Style Language (CSL), originally conceived by Bruce D’Arcus and team in 2006, is an open-source software project that describes the formatting of reference citations and bibliographies in an XML-based language. The goal is to simplify scholarly publishing by automating the formatting of reference styles as per the publishers’ specifications that are then stored in a crowdsourced repository of over 9000 styles. These CSL styles have been authored by over 600 different users with each submission reviewed before it is published.
CSL is openly available and offers several helpful features to allow analysis. The CSL language is designed to allow for re-use of significant parts of the code. To indicate the re-use, styles can link to a “template” style. Finally, it also offers a visual editor to edit existing citation styles while also identifying similar styles to extend.
We at Exeter have been working on integrating CSL within Kriya and expect it to be released soon. Stay tuned and look forward to this new feature!

When Work Becomes Fun... (Literally)

Breaking the spell of monotony and bringing a dash of fun to work, an Intra Healthy Lifestyle Meet was organized at the Ascendas Technology Park from 28th to 30th of August. The sports meet helped instill team spirit amongst our colleagues and motivated them to perform better not just on the playground but bring that friendly competitive spirit back to the workplace.
Employees at Exeter grabbed the opportunity and participated in various games like Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, Shuttle, Volleyball, Laser Tag, and Console Gaming. A total of 41 employees enthusiastically participated in the event. Every one took a stroll down memory lane, revisited their childhood days and experienced all the excitement of a school sports day - fun, competitiveness and team building! Although we didn’t win, we definitely came close. At the end of the day, whether you win or lose is not what matters but the collaboration and camaraderie as we strive to achieve.
