India Rings In Its 73rd Independence Day

"Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny and now that time comes when we shall redeem our pledgeat the stroke of today’s midnight hour when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” -Jawaharlal Nehru, The First Prime Minister of India.

The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated throughout the country on the 15th of August reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning. On this day, homes are adorned in tri-colored flags and flowers, colorful parades march down the streets, and the air is buzzing with a special kind of festive zeal.

India is a country known for lingual-cultural diversity, as the originator of Chess, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus, the world’s largest democracy and the country with the largest road network! India has a rich and colorful history and we are home to more than a hundred different languages.

On the occasion of India’s 73rd Independence Day, Exeter celebrated the true spirit of patriotism with style and grandeur. The entire office proudly wore the Indian Flag on their outfits to mark the celebration of India’s glorious day and sweets were distributed.

Happy 73rd Independence Day India!
